Silly NY Trio

"Talia, could you look up something for me the next time you go to the library?"

The young woman looked up from the textbook she was pouring over to regard the dashboard. It had merely become an easy focal point when the car was talking to her while she was seated inside. "Sure. What is it?"

"Could you see if blue foxes actually exist?"

She couldn't help chuckling. "What brought this on?"

"I...had a dream that I was one. As I understand, foxes are four-legged carnivores smaller than humans. However, I was my regular size. So it was a tad bit awkward to be a very large, furry creature walking around the city."

"...You dream?"

"Occasionally."

"And you dreamt you were a fox. A blue one."

"Yes."

"I'm picturing that. And you look ridiculous covered in bright blue fur."

"Thank you for the reminder, yes, I am aware how ridiculous I would look."

"In fact, I'm now picturing the Beast from X-Men talking with your voice."

Talia..."

"How cool would that be! And what if the X-Men's jet was a Transformer?"

"...Talia..."

"Professor X's wheelchair could become an exo-suit."

"Talia. Do your homework."

"Yes, sir...foxy in blue."

Tracks sighed.

At The Beach NY Trio

"We're lost."

Raoul looked over at his girlfriend, irritated. "We ain't not!"

"Raoul," Tracks interjected, "Are you aware that your mastery of language and grammar -- sub-par as it is already -- slips to new depths the more tired you become?"

"Like you got any room to criticize, mister 'I can't get connected to the satellite guidance system'."

"Well, I cannot. The frequency and codes are jammed. Someone must be doing maintenence, so it might be offline alogether."

"Nice excuse that is."

"There are such things as paper printed maps. Even I know that."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll look into it next time we hit a rest stop."

Suddenly Talia pointed across his side of the windshield. "Take that turn! Quick!"

Raoul turned the steering wheel, just making it to the exit ramp before a freight truck barrelled past. Tracks made an annoyed sound. "These people have no concept of safe driving. Even the Stunticons drive better. ...What am I saying, that was probably Motormaster."

"Yeah, the cab was purple..but I don't recall him having pink flames on the side."

"...By Cybertron, that is hideously tacky. ...But I would give a day's worth of energon to see it on him." Tracks noticed the road become bumpy and directed his sensors out a few extra feet. "Where are we heading..?"

"There's a trail road leadin' through some trees."

The Corvette's voice was horrified. "Don't drive me on that! It will kill my struts!"

Raoul replied in a sing-song, "Short cut."

"I don't care! There should be perfectly good paved roads leading to the beach!"

"If we were in the right place, maybe."

Tracks decided to shut off his sensors and not look, just trying to endure the rough road and not imagine what it was doing to his underside. He only turned everything back on when he got a distinct sinking feeling..literally, of his tires sinking into something.

"Oh, Primus," he said.

"We made it to the beach," was Raoul's reply.

"There are paved parking lots, too!!"

Jealous NY Trio

Raoul stood in the repair shop doorway waiting for Tracks to return after bringing Talia home. The mechanic had stayed behind to get some work done despite being a little worried after their unexpected visitor had left -- there could have been a chance that a Decepticon might have followed the rookie. He also wanted a little time to himself to think after what Blaster had said during the comm exchange. It had seemed funny at the time, but once he actually gave it some thought...

The sound of a car engine nearing as it pulled into the garage brought him out of the office and over to the blue Corvette. Tracks idled for a moment as he tried to decide whether to park for the night or go back downstairs and see if Blaster had gotten a chance to reply yet. He found he was eager to hear back from his friend despite having not been bothered by the lack of the boombox in so many years.

He had about made up his mind when he felt a boot placed unceremoniously on his front bumper. He flickered his headlights in question. "Do you mind, Raoul? You will only have to clean off the scuff marks yourself."

"Stop whinin', man."

Tracks was so taken aback by the harsh tone that he reversed, causing Raoul's foot to drop. The human stalked close again and put his hands on his hips. Tracks asked with caution, "Did I miss something?"

"No. I'm just wonderin'...about you an' Talia."

"Raoul! Are you letting what Blaster said get to you? Why on Earth -- or Cybertron, for that matter -- would I try to steal your girl? Aside from the fact I would never do that to a friend, there is the rather obvious issue of species difference."

"Why do you think girls like hot cars, hmm?"

"Raoul...'get real', as some would say..."
